Come on Rice. They are killing you on the passes. You can whip them, make some adjustments. Good luck!

MSU seems to be controlling the line of scrimmage. Announcers just said MSU's schedule was 5th toughest in the country. SEC.

MSU is massive and talented on the lines on both sides of the ball. Their weakness all season long has been receivers and secondary, but Rice doesn't seem to be able to take advantage of it. They were probably the best 6-6 team in the country...I believe all their losses were to ranked teams. Just a bad draw overall for Rice...Vanderbilt or Ole Miss would have been easier teams to beat.

Wow Rice do you every plan on giving it a go? This game has gotten away quickly. I hope you guys can make a run in the 2nd half but unless you do something with that one WR I don't see it.

Yup.

I had C-USA winning 4 of 6 bowl games this year. This wasn't one of them.

This is somewhat embarrassing. Expected more out of Rice.

Just not Rice's day, MSU is tough and motivated. Congrats on a great season anyway Owl fans. Just a bad matchup, all SEC teams are tough as hell.

This game is getting ugly. Only 129 total yards so far for the Owls. 04-jawdrop

Many times during the game, the announcers have mentioned the work that goes on at St. Jude. If you ever get a chance, touring St Jude or any of the support homes around the hospital (Ronald McDonald House, Target House, Memphis Grizzlies House, etc) is amazing. I've been fortunate enough to have done some work with the kids at Target House, and I never leave that place the same guy that I was when I arrived.

Anyway, congrats on the good year, Rice and Rice fans. I know this game was a disappointment, but it was a great year for the Owls.

How much does getting blown out in their bowl affect Rice's recruiting?

Great year, Rice. It's tough to lose that last game, in that fashion. But you had an outstanding year, and earned that Conference Championship.

I can't believe it. A 6-6 team just handed the cusa champ a whopping defeat. What an embarrassment to cusa from your team. Congrats for nothing. Man, it's unbelievable.

Embarrassing 03-razz The team that barely beat UAB showed up when we were all hoping for the team that whooped Marshal.
