Especially after being down 20 at one point. This team has so much more fight than last year's. It's really not close.

Talley gets tackled by a 7 footer with no call. Hard enough to beat the #2 team in the country without the refs calling a completely one-sided game.

No kidding! Quit treating us like the Washington Generals! We came here to win or at least make a game of it.

3rd straight year we ended up with 48 points against Syracuse. Hopefully we are done with this series now.

Every time I see Boeheim I think he looks like a d'head.

I think the broadcasters insinuated that (Murphy had said that).

I need to check the tape but did we fall apart when Talley got into foul trouble?

A game at EMU would be nice but Boeheim would probably never sign up for something like that.

I looked at this year's schedule.

We were lucky to get all of those tourney games (yes, Robert Morris, Cle. State, Texas-Arl and @ Kentucky was a tourney).

Syracuse is an easy to schedule payday because of the JB/Murphy connection.

Purdue was owed because of the 2012 FB game + home and home hoops.

UMass was part of the MAC series w. UMass as part of their entrance into MAC FB.

Even though I thought playing Duke was neat, but it really didn't serve a purpose and I'm not sure why it was scheduled (other than $).

So who would you like schedule Concordia again, maybe Rochester? Weak schedule weak team. I for one have had more than enough of those over the last 15 years! Back in 1990s our schedules put us (MAC) in the top ten conference's in the country now have a tough go to make 15th. I remember when Boone took the money and ran away from a Pittsburgh tournament because he thought it was to tough! We had a tough time filling the schedule with weak teams and we still lost!07-coffee3

Super and schedules: Is there an emoticon for a broken record 03-lmfao

Freud had his theories of female neurosis.

Super has his theories why MAC teams aren't like B1G or ACC teams: It is the schedule... 01-wingedeagle

Kind of a straw man argument there. I don't think he was saying drop Syracuse in favor of Concordia. But, there are competitive games that could be scheduled against respectable opponents (i.e. Robert Morris).

" Back in 1990s our schedules put us (MAC) in the top ten conference's in the country now have a tough go to make 15th."

Actually it was because as our top coaches such as Rick Marjerus, Ben Braun, even Gary Waters (EMU -> Kent -> Rutgers) and a bunch more started winning big they got gobbled up by the big boys and eventually their successors proved to be poor imitations of these coaches.

That is modus operandi for both MAC FB and baskeball.

Actually it also had a LOT to do with R-E-C-R-U-I-T-I-N-G.

In those days it was easier to keep kids in state or in the Midwest.

Now Michigan exports high caliber h.s. basketball players like crazy to even schools like Rhode Island, Iowa State, etc.

Rhode Island is not Florida Gulf Coast College with nice beaches.

Or high majors that we can be competitive against. More Purdue's and less Duke's.

Problem is trying to get a Purdue to do a home and home.

We got this home and home with Purdue because of its tie in with the football game.

I could see us getting home and home with ODU since we are doing home and home in football.

Getting back on topic:

Harrison only played 7 minutes.

Was he ill or hurting?

Agree about the schedule. Play a Duke or Kentucky or Syracuse but not all 3 in one year! That said, I think we did well in all 3 contests. All you have to do is compare previous year's games against UK, Michigan, MSU, etc and see this team is competitive.

Let's mix in Penn State, Notre Dame, Missouri Valley teams, Sun Belt, U of Houston etc etc instead of 4 top 20 teams before January!

I think this team is poised for a great MAC season. Let's get it on!
