You should compare the social media efforts leading up to the New Orleans Bowl with the efforts leading up to GoDaddy. I think you will find that they are capable of marketing when they want to.

The difference in mentions of the New Orleans Bowl and ULL as opposed to GoDaddy and stAte are sort of obvious. But maybe they are promoting the hell out of GoDaddy on some password protected account somewhere...so maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Wow kind of thought you were joking until I looked myself. In the world of technology its sure hard to promote anything that isn't in the SBCs headquaters exact location.

You guys are being to hard on those fine folks at the SBC home office. Don't you know they get 2 weeks off for Christmas break.

Just to be fair, I'm curious how many days before the NOLA Bowl did the SBC start promoting that game? Since the GoDaddy Bowl is still 6 days away, it could make a difference.

If it didn't start the day after they accepted an invite...it was done wrong.

I agree. Was just saying that ULL accepted their Bowl bid a little over two weeks before their Bowl and Arkansas State accepted their Bowl a little over a month before their Bowl. It would stand to reason that the initial promotion would focus on the ULL Bowl given the short turnaround. Don't get me wrong, I too have issues with the SBC's promotions.

I never said a word in the lead up to the New Orleans Bowl. It was the first bowl and was obviously going to be the focus. Appropriately so.

But we are 8 days after the New Orleans Bowl ended and the conference has been pretty much dead silent.

But you gotta understand buddy........the high school kid they have doing social media had to have time off to visit grandma and grandpa during Christmas. Have a heart.

SBC office never creates its own material. Any New Orleans bowl promotions were retweets. I guess the SBC doesn't follow Arkansas State Football on Twitter.

Heck, saw where MTSU came in 2nd in the Sun Belt this year on the MTSU-vs- Navy Bowl TV game this afternoon.
Guess the SBC was promoting their game with Navy.
