I been looking all day for the post where a recruit said a coach told him that he could let him meet micheal Jackson. Guy had been dead for a while03-lmfao

That actually happened this year.

FWIW, we really don't know where the kid got the idea. It may have been from the coaches or he may have just googled it and picked up the rumors.

RE: JMU Recruiting
I'm pretty sure if we were going to C-USA that we would've heard something more than internet rumors by now. Coaches have been pulling this stunt at the FCS level for years now...pretty sure everybody on VIllanova's roster thought they would be playing in the Big East by now. Jokes on them since the Big East doesn't exist in football anymore.

Desperate times for the Dukes.

To add to the others...

Did you realize that ODU has 10 players from New Jersey on its roster, making up more than 10% of the players. How desperate is that!?

Also, Liberty has the same number of players from NJ as JMU, 3.

ODU isn't FBS material yet, thanks for proving my point. That number will dwindle as the New England coach realizes the talent is in his backyard.

Sorry to reopen this thread, but I thought this was interesting on the Twitter:

Harry Minium ‏@Harry_MiniumVP 29m
Assistant coach Michael Zyskowski has recruited five New Jersey players to play football at ODU. http://hamptonroads.com/2014/01/lineback...l-play-odu

I know. And I should leave the troll alone, but I couldn't resist when I saw that tweet from Minium - this thread was the first thing I thought of...
