bengals playoffs
1. on 12.31 bengals say ticket sales are steady but disappointing.
2. in an effort to boost them cut that crap punter and hired another. nothing like kicking the ball in to the stands to help with job security.

I thought that would increase ticket sales- how many chances do you have to get an official NFL football while sitting 4 rows back at the 50 yd line?

Maybe Kay should come out early, he's got a helluva pooch kick.

I've read some conflicting things, but I think they will be granted an extension, most (if not all of the tickets will be purchased) and then CBS (if necessary) will step up and purchase the rest, not wanting to miss out on ratings gold.

I've seen some people say that but then I thought I read you could. Maybe I'm wrong. I still see the Bengals working with local partners to make sure its on TV, whenever that deadline is.

The legend of the waiting list for Packers season tickets in Green Bay has grown over the years. Newborns get put on the list, with parents hoping some day their offspring hits the top of the list.

Green Bay has perhaps the best fans in the NFL ... which is why the league should be very worried that the Packers and two other teams are still struggling to sell out their playoff games.

Green Bay, as of Wednesday morning, was about 8,500 tickets short of a sellout, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. If the Packers don't sell out by 3:40 p.m. Thursday, the game will be blacked out on local TV from Green Bay to Milwaukee. That's almost inconceivable.

Thursday Morning updates

Indy has 4,500 tickets left
Green Bay 5,500
Havent seen anything out of the Bengals but last night it was about 8,000

Was born & raised a Bengals fan but I don't know if you could pay me to go sit through any 23 degree (or whatever) game, much less drop $200+ on a ticket & drinks to do so.

Couch with HD, food, drinks & no line for the bathroom is my preference anytime it's under 50 degrees. NFL needs to understand. Playoffs or not, that isn't fun.

Green Bay has a projected HIGH temp of -5° at game time and low for the day of -20°. I think the risk of frostbite and exposure is a perfectly good reason for not going to a playoff game.

Have you checked the forecast for Cincy?

I have a ticket if I want it, but honestly I just can't justify going down there Sunday.

RE: bengals playoffs
Its a high of 34 with snow on Sunday. I'll be going. Just gonna wear layers and the outer layer will be snow pants and a ski jacket so I don't get wet.

Hell, the bathrooms at PBS are heated. If you get cold, you can run in there during a break warm up for a few minutes.

To me, the energy at a big time sporting event makes it worth going. It can't be replicated at home on the couch.

My brother just bought a 70 inch screen TV, free beer, comfortable couch, free beer and appetizers and free beer. I don't know...
