Fitz won the Bilitinkoff award and was a first round NFL draft choice. He has been an all pro numerous times. Boyd had a terrific freshman year, but he has a few boxes to check to get to Fitz's level.

Can't deny that SP...

More or less a comparison of their freshman seasons. I'd be fooling myself to say he's better than Fitz's overall resume.

I hope he doesn't lose his edge. Sometimes when kids are successful early, they don't work as hard. I am looking at you Mr Pitts.

I think he has the potential to be mentioned in the same breath with Fitz. He is just sick. And Fitz came in as a WR whereas Tyler is converting from RB.

Your 2nd paragraph is why I truly belief Tyler's ceiling is amazingly higher than Fitz's. And not to mention Fitz had a year under his belt at a Prep school. Tyler just makes sick catch after sick catch. The bowl game featured at least 2-3 sick catches and one was incomplete because he landed out of bounds. Doesn't mean Tyler will end up being better than Fitz, but 1A/1B would certainly be fair, given that Tyler continues to get better and work on his route running over the winter/spring.

I don't think he'll lose his edge. He just has a drive to succeed and feels snubbed by the likes of ND and OSU.

It will certainly be interesting to follow Boyd. Fitz was double or triple covered every game. Boyd had the benefit of Street . Let's see how he does as #1 for a complete season. I agree in that he will continue to develop and I look forward to seeing im play next year.

No doubt. The 2014 season will truly be the test for Boyd as he is no longer a secret. I think he'll be fine given that he was the #1 WR in 3 games this year.
