Never been so excited for a basketball game. Just made a stop in Cincinnati. Heading to Lawrence tomorrow!

I'm definitely looking forward to this game. For Kansas, it's a classic trap game (haven't played in over a week, upcoming games against San Diego State and the start of the Big 12 season) and Toledo has nothing to lose. I think Toledo can match-up against KU's guards, but it will tough to match up against Wiggins, Ellis, and Embiid. Embiid is prone to foul trouble and breaking up their front line early will be UT's best chance to pull the upset.

It should be fun to watch. Win or lose, this is a great Toledo team that has done well so far this season and will do well in the MAC. Putting up a strong fight or pulling the upset at Allen Fieldhouse will be icing on the cake.

A win would be huge but... neither a win nor a loss in Lawrence in December 2013 matters much unless we take care of business in MAC play January, February and March 2014.

What we can't afford is a season ending injury to Juice, Pearson, Boothe... etc.

I saw somewhere that Kansas Head Coach Self is something like 161-8 against non-conference foes at Fogg Field House, so the Rockets have a very tough assignment. Of course if they somehow do pull it off it will just makes the victory even sweeter.

Game will be on ESPN3 at 8 pm.

According to Time Warner and to Matt Sarzyniak, it's also supposed to be on ESPN FullCourt.

Wasn't able to go to or listen to the Coppin State game Saturday due to a family holiday function, but was very glad on Sunday to read about the Rockets getting a good first-half lead and then essentially holding it in the second half. Coppin State isn't a great team this season, but that type of win was exactly what should have been expected to be accomplished by this Toledo team as a sign of their focus, especially heading into the Kansas game. Cannot believe the good shape we are in for this game: 12-0, all players in the rotation contributing, no injuries--couldn't ask for a better set-up to tonight. Hope the Rockets just play their game--have some fun & enjoy being on the "big stage" that is Kansas basketball. Obviously would love to see us pull the upset, but unless we get hammered by 25+ and don't even look competitive in the process, a loss doesn't mean too much as long as we learn some things from it going into conference play & the MAC tournament, which is really where all the marbles are anyway.

All you fellow Rocket fans that get to go to the game, that's awesome!! Please cheer loud and proud for our Toledo Rockets, I know you will. We all should be very proud of this team. Going into Kansas and coming out with a W is going to be very tough. They've won 67 consecutive nonconference home games and have a phenomenal freshman in Andrew Wiggins (he'll be a top 3 draft pick after this season).

Here's to an injury free game and hope our Rockets can at least keep it close in the end. I'd love a W, but as a 14 point underdog, a close game would be good. I remember when we went into Michigan State in 2002 and came out with a W, so let's make it happen captain!
