Thank you for the link.
Which team might be the best fit for Jordan Lynch to succeed?

RE: Huffpo Story on Lynch
It'd be great to see Lynch get a shot at QB, but I think he'd be better off prepping for the draft as a Safety. This year's draft is very deep at QB and Lynch's draft stock definitely took a hit with his last two performances. Scouts just aren't sold on Lynch as a passer, but he has prototypical size, athleticism, durability and football IQ to be an interesting safety prospect. Quite a few teams in the NFL could use help at that position and the draft isn't terribly deep at safety this year. There will also be secondary scouts coming to see Jimmie Ward (projected Top 5 Safety), so some may be inclined to stick around and work Lynch out at the position as well. I feel like if playing in the NFL regardless of position is Lynch's goal, his best shot would be to do so at safety.

RE: Huffpo Story on Lynch
Has Lynch ever played defense before? Even in high school? Is there even film of him making a tackle?

NFL safeties just don't have to be tough athletes...they have to have really good speed, ball closing ability, at least some coverage skills and really good speed. Did I mention really good speed? I don't see any NFL team willing to take that risk and commit resources to developing him into that position.

If he's going to make it in the NFL, I would see it being more of a Julian Edelman type as a slot receiver...but few teams take that risk either...outside of New England.

He's going to need a combine invite and he's going to need to impress with his throwing if he's going to get drafted as a QB. He'd need an off the charts 40 time to get any consideration as a safety.

Jordan played safety in high-school, and played in the Army High School All-American game at that position. He had Big 10 offers at that position but came to NIU because he wanted to play QB.

No he played for Team USA under19 and was a safety out of H.S….and the only offer he had was NIU….

Pretty sure he had other offers but they were all to play other positions.

I stand corrected on the Army All-American game, was actually just going to fix my post since I found this:

http://usafootball.com/teamusa/roster/20...eam-roster

I know Purdue and Indiana both offered Lynch as a safety, NIU was the only school that said he could play QB

RE: Huffpo Story on Lynch
I agree with the article, very well written. Lynch can make it at the next level. The guy is a beast and has gone on record saying he'd move to wherever to make a team in the NFL. I hope he gets his shot to prove it... Somewhere up there & prove the haters wrong! I like his overall abilities/ talents way better than Harnish's.

Gil Brandt wrote back in November that Jordan Lynch may actually work as a running back. I could definitely see that working pretty well potentially. Lynch has really good size for an NFL RB and demonstrated durability with an RB-like carry load.

Yea I'm pretty sure RB would be his best shot. Really can't imagine he'd be able to switch to safety.

That's been my feeling all along. Not to stereotype but...like a "Danny Woodhead"...kind of guy.

Would love to see him get an opportunity in the NE camp.

I think he will be great on special teams wherever he goes! I can see him leading a team in ST tackles!
