College Home Towns
Have any videos or good pictures of your school's college town.
With four new schools coming into the SBC it's good to know
a little about each town. This video is a little funky, but not as
bad as "Hot,Hot,Hot". Some good drone shots spaced throughout.
Guess you could just turn the sound off.

Have a lot of respect for what the Ragin' Cajuns have done recently
and look forward to a hard fought game hopefully.
Not bad if you have to travel to get some really good food also.
About time to begin thinking, even though it's not over, is it football season yet?

Moscow was probably most notable for being a giant party for a couple of decades. Because the drinking age was still 19, every student at Washington State would journey six miles across the border to party. There were 30+ bars and less than 15k residents, and the highway between Wazzu and UIdaho was the most dangerous in the nation. Wazzu are Idaho are still on the list of top party schools, but it's a lot more laid back here. We still have a reputation for being nasty and inebriated, and still have a better bar scene than Pullman (in my expert opinion).

Downtown is about half a mile of bars, shops, and restaurants:

Moscow is put to shame by other parts of Idaho:

Actually, I like your downtown. Reminds me of the small town where I was born.
That Pullman picture looks like a painting. Kind of surreal.

Here's a little video from Erin Burnett at CNN after the Carnival cruise ship was towed into Mobile.

With my sigline, I'll take on the huge responsibility of posting photos of Ruston, Louisiana (population 21,859) that I lifted from Ruston's wiki page. Louisiana Tech University at Ruston is not yet a member here at the Belt, but it's only a matter of time before they come asking. We welome all you Lolly Pollywaggers.

Crowley's Ridge Nature Center at Craighead Forest Park - Crowley's Ridge is a geographic oddity and one of the six geographic divisions of the state. Flora and fauna on ridge is more akin to that in western Tennessee than the rest of Arkansas.

I've driven through Lafayette and Moblie. Lafayette is nothing special along the highway but I hear great things about the town. Mobile seems nice went to a beach and Dalphin Island, had a great time. I grew up near Arlington and went there many times for high school sports and such. I've been to at least half the states in this country but not Arkansas, North Carolina or Georgia.

That Troy Trojan water tower is a lot nicer than the one that CajunFanatico posted of Ruston's water tower. Wouldn't mind having one like Troy's, especially if it did hold shine.

Years ago we were living in South Florida and planned a summer driving vacation; Florida to Texas, up through Oklahoma (where I had trained at Ft. Sill), to Ohio, over to West Virginia, to DC (to see some of her friends), and back to North Carolina (for my sister's wedding), then back to Florida.
She insisted that we spend at least a couple of days in Mobile. She was from Opp, Alabama. I thought she was nuts. Thought Mobile would just not be worth it. She won me over when she mentioned visiting the USS Alabama. Needless to say, she was right. It turned out to be one place I remembered the most. Kind of fell in love with it. Was like a combination of Charleston and Savannah.

Ruston's has prestige. You should learn to tell the difference.
