You cant kick field goals so once they got inside the 30 just give them the TD AND SAVE TIMEOUTS!

He doesn't handle the big stage well. He came across as a real dick to the sideline reporter at halftime as well. NIU has been severley out coached in the last two games. Don't know if he can't gameplan well or what but both losses seemed like we came out super sluggish and not ready to go. It will be interesting to see how Sean Frazier handles him and Montgomery for that matter. He believes NIU is a big buy program he will want his own people running it. Montgomery on shorter leash but a mediocre season from the football team next year may cost Carey his job. New QB and the Defense loses Ward, Bishop and others. Not many Defensive recruits the last two years either. Not a good formula.

Dude is not qualified and had a stacked team with a weak SOS

He doesn't know how to make halftime adjustments that much is plain and evidenced by the 2nd half performances in the last 2 games. Have to believe there are several more qualified talents who could do better.

Happy huskie: Someone said you needed you needed a reality check? That's funny & sad at the same time. Some of these children need to stop drinking & get some sleep. Anyway, thanks for your positive comment. Way too much negativity on this forum.

Best case is he squeaks out 2 winning seasons and is out of here. We then bring Canada or Matukewicz back to return to glory.

Worst case is he goes .500 and sticks around for 5 years before being fired.

I hope he recruits 1000% better than coaching.

But....but....we were the MAC runners up. And although we were embarrassed in one of the biggest games in school history in the MACC, we almost beat an 8-5 Mountain West team.....

its funny i spent most of my time defending this team to non-NIU fans, now i'm wasting time defending it to ACTUAL NIU fans. My guess is that you were one of the suitcase kids when they refer to NIU being a suitcase school.
