TX has 12 FBS, 7 FCS and I won't even begin to count DII's, DIII's and NAIA's. In that number is the top College Business in the business in UT.

That's the football schools. I'm not counting the non footballs like UTA, TAMU-CC, DBU, etc.

You think we're getting a piece of that UT pie? We're the only FBS in the TSUS system. We're on our own. Nobody shares with us.

I don't know if we have to share with SHSU and Lamar (in the TSUS) but if we do that just sucks.

Don't forget Southeastern Louisiana, who won their first conference title after resurrecting the sport in 2003. If I am not mistaken, it was also their first appearance in the 1-AA playoffs.

Southern

I am not counting UNO, Xavier, and Dillard.

Dividing NMSU revenues ($24,811,219) by 6 = $4,135,203

So you have to see more of the picture.

We don't share with them.

Go Aggies!!

That is because there are only two schools your state.

You can't compare that to ULM or ULL in Lousiana where there are 5 FBS schools with one in the SEC.

LA Tech
ULM
ULL
Tulane
LSU

Hell Lousiana has 4 more FCS teams vying for attention:

Grambling State
McNeese State
Nicholls State
Southern

I am not counting UNO, Xavier, and Dillard.

Actually 5 FCS programs counting South Eastern Louisiana.

Texas also is the largest state in the US with almost 28 million people...Louisiana has 4.5 million people

New Mexico has 2.1 Million. It doesn't matter we are competing with UA, UNM, UTEP, TTU for the south west. A lot bigger names. Than FCS school. Quit baggin on NMSU. You know your self we are a great add. Lol and we started wining it would be great for the Sun Belt.

The OP got these revenue numbers from the U.S. Dept. of Education "Equity in Athletics Data Analysis..(http://www.ope.ed.gov/athletics/). These numbers are never the same as the numbers that each state allows or mandates be counted in Athletic budgets. These are the Federal numbers for fiscal year 2012-13.

In other words, the numbers suck.

Most colleges spend money like rabbits in heat.
No college will ever have enough. Even Texas wants more.
