Which Marshall team will show up in the Military bowl? Will it be the dominate home team with incredible speed and superior execution? Will it be the flat, uninspired, mistake makers that are the doppelgangers of our home team players? At home, I would pick The Herd to beat Maryland by an easy 14, but away, it gets very scary.

What are your thoughts? Which team will be at the Military Bowl Friday?

I think you hit the nail squarely on the head. The outcome of this game depends on which Marshall team shows up. I keep waiting, and hoping, that we will solve our road issues, but there has not been one game -- perhaps other than the Virginia Tech game (which does give me some hope) -- where our guys showed up to play. I think the more important question is how did the Rice game affect our guys? We were whipped -- pure and simple -- down in Houston and were never in the game. We were beat in all three phases of the game. Our road woes, in general, and the Rice beating, in particular, are going to be tough to overcome. I am really not confident going into this game. We'll see what kind of coaching staff and character we have with this game.

Win, and next season is set up very nicely. Lose, and I'm not sure we made as much progress this year as I want to believe we did. I'm trying to be confident and optimistic...I really am, but not sure what will happen.

I thought you meant battle of Ms as in Marshall vs Maryland. I was going to say more like battle of M vs the state that's OBSESSED with their weird fugly state flag. I've never seen people so in love with a state flag.

The way I'm looking at it, we've only gone about 6 hours away from home and we've been there for a few days. It isn't the same as flying to Houston the night before a game. Hopefully the team will have time to get settled and really come out to play.

Nope some of them are playing in their hotels right now.

battle of the M's ehh? I like the Blue ones.

Its on the road. Unfortunately, thats not good for us. Hopefully being there a few days will settle the kids down and allow them to focus. We need this win to set up us for next fall and take the next step.
