It seems like an obvious move to me. Both schools have shown an ability to get their fans to that facility. ULL won't go to the New Orleans Bowl most years, and ULL fans therefore won't get the annual New Orleans trip they now seem to want. USM has been expelled from Tulane's circle and won't get their Dome game, either.

In a year where both teams are good, I can see this being another 60,000-ticket game. Having it as a season opener or during Thanksgiving week would help.

Both schools have gotten the cold shoulder from just about everyone else. Both schools have a need to be creative. No one's handing USM or ULL anything on a silver platter, unless it's bus tickets to Mayberry, NC to play 5BC.

We've done the home and home thing many times to average crowds. I think there would be more excitement with a New Orleans game. Everybody wants an excuse to go there.

The New Orleans Sports Authority have already contacted Louisiana about an annual home game in the Dome for the Cajuns. Mainly against AQ schools, but USM is on that list as well.

That is an excellent idea and a tribute to Cajun fans for what they've accomplished 3 years in a row. Match the Cajun team up with a quality AQ opponent and they might just sell that place out one year.

Hattiesburg is closer to New Orleans than Lafayette and USM has a large contingent of alums there. It would be a fantastic crowd over 40k, which never happens when we play Tulane there. This needs to happen.

Play two at USM, one at ULL, and one in the Dome (ULL home game). UL Lafayette has always brought the largest crowd of any Louisiana school and that would help us with home attendance and dollars which would be much better for USM than playing all games in the dome and splitting the pot.

We need to go ahead and get ULL in the league. Be an upgrade from a certain un named member that is leaving in ALL sports except maybe one.

If not I think it's a great idea.

It won't draw the crowd at either home field line it would at the dome. I say go for it.

Hell, even any C-USA fan in the area would go. I would if it doesn't interfere with my team.

Either play it at the dome every year and each rotates who is giving up the home game or do 3 game series with home and home with 3rd game at the dome.

Home games are what builds your program and USM needs more, especially at this time. We need our games in the Rock and those wanting to drown themselves in beer can visit Burbon St early and then make it to Hattiesburg by game time. Fortunately there are several schools who will come to town and actually bring more than ULL could ever muster for the trip. I personally had rather see USM play ULL but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Typical Tech fan. It kills them that UL is the team New Orleans wants while they are stuck in the piney woods of the metropolis of Ruston. If you are not included, you try other meaningless tactics. Tech's whole mission is to keep UL from having the UL name. Their insecurity slip is showing every time they post.

Tech vs ULL in the dome would also be a pretty big draw.
