What dialect are you?
This is going viral on my Facebook, so I figured I'd share it. My top three dialects were Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids, and Overland Park (Suburban KC). Oddly, I've only visited KC.
My bottom three? Philly, NYC, and New Orleans of which I've visited none. Where do you end up? How similar is it to where you live?

RE: What dialect are you?
I’ve lived in the South a long time, but I can’t seem to use the violent
vernacular, like Crack A Window, Cut Off A Light or Mash A Button.

Jackson (MS), Birmingham (AL), Winston-Salem (NC).
Though GSP in the Upstate of SC was just as red as all three of those.

Most: Buffalo, Detroit and Grand Rapids which is dead nuts on.
Linguistically, all three cities fall in the Northern Cities Vowel Shift dialect frequently referred to as the Inland North dialect. It runs from Syracuse across Lake Erie to Cleveland and Detroit, then across to Chicago.

RE: What dialect are you?
It froze on me when I tried it earlier, got different questions this time, but can't argue too much w/ results:
Ft Wayne, Grand Rapids and Rockford. Grew up near Ft Wayne, went to college near Rockford.
But, I have consciously changed the way I say a few things, would be interesting to see what the new result would be.
Update:
I changed a few things (and had some different questions) and got
Scottsdale, Washington DC and Rockford.
All sensible, but at some point, w/ a dialect spread out this far, it's not really meaningful to say I have any specific one.
Although I continue to be least similar to Boston area.

My Mother-in-law is from Brooklyn, NY but has lived for more years in the South and every once in awhile she'll let out a "Youse" in lieu of you all, you guys or y'all. Gotta love the different dialects man...

RE: What dialect are you?
Pretty much a bullseye for my location. Although one question really nails it: I say "pop" instead of "soda." That alone narrows it down to a handful of states.

I am from nowhere. I'm neither northern, southern, eastern, nor western. I might be from somewhere. But it wasn't sure.
