Exclamation Bowl Talk....
If you didn't see the Washington St vs Colorado St bowl game, you missed a colossal collapse by Washington St. It will be aired again on ESPNU Sunday morning—record and watch it because the game is unbelievable….

I like traditional oval bowls over these new damn low-flow semi-triangular things you see these days.

Yes, I thought Washington State put it on ice so I turned channel. ESPN played highlights and I was shocked. Washington State was a better team but it shows when you never give up even when the odds are stacked against you, great things can happen (Boise State vs Oklahoma). Congrats Colorado State.

I forgot to mention that I have Directv. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t matter if you have ESPNU. The game is worth recording and watching. I too thought the game was over, but continued to watch it while being "shocked" by what I saw. This is one of the rare games that you’ll see a team get totally dominated and somehow still manages to win. Moreover, the colossal collapse by Washington St makes this bowl game even more compelling to watch….

Btw... The commentators at halftime of the Buffalo vs San Diego St game blamed Mike Leach for bad coaching, which contributed greatly to what they called a “disaster.” I somewhat agree—he coached better at Texas Tech.

USC further demonstrated how overrated Fresno St was.... Baylor would have scored 70+ on Fresno St in the Fiesta Bowl. Thank 01-ncaabbs God
Fresno St didn't play in the Fiesta bowl against a B12 opponent....

Baylor also has no defense. They would have put on an offensive show against one another. I'd be more inclined to watch that than Baylor taking on a UCF team who's only there because of the Big East's former auto-bid.

UCF only got the autobid because they got literally ALL the calls from the refs ALL year long, too. The league won't be there to help 'em get their miracle win in the bowl game...

Tell that to UT, OU, TT, and everyone else in the B12 except OSU. Regarding Fresno St’s D, ask Rutgers, Boise St (a shell of what it use to be), SJSU (who made Fresno St look like a joke), and now USC (a school that was blown out by ASU) about how good its D is. Consequently, Baylor would have scored 70+ on Fresno St easily, and you would have been channel surfing by halftime.

Regarding UCF, its only loss was to SCAR—a game that it should have won. I’ll admit that SCAR played more physical in the second half and that helped it beat UCF. However, OSU has given UCF the blueprint to beat Baylor–play physical football. Nevertheless, doing it is another story….

This is straight hate because your school blew a big lead against UCF (at home), which cost it a BCS Bowl. Once UCF got over the Louisville and Bridgewater hype, it sliced through your school's overrated D in the second half; thus it has been "Knighted" with a BCS bowl—and deservingly so. Refs had nothing to do with your school’s inability to keep a big lead in the second half of a home game. Louisville only has itself to blame along with a sorry ooc schedule that didn’t help its case to be in a BCS Bowl.

How does a cold weather school like Buffalo get blown out in a cold weather bowl by a bad warm weather school from California (who loss to Eastern Illinois at home)? Didn’t Buffalo almost make it to the MAC title game? To think that I’ve suggested adding it to the American….

11-1 (undefeated in conference) with the only loss to SEC opponent USC is why UCF is going to Fiesta in Glendale. BTW, which BCS game is Syracuse going to? 03-hissyfit

Buffalo isn't ready for the American yet, IMO

You obviously haven't watched much of Baylor. Their defense is quite good, although injuries took their toll at the end of the year. But if you think Baylor has no defense, you haven't been paying attention. They're on the field a lot, because Baylor's offense usually scores quickly and often.

Ummmm, you realize UCF would qualify to be the G5 rep this year also right?

They're 11-1 with Wins vs UL, PSU and a very close loss to SC. I'm sorry but that was a pretty stupid comment.

That bad team seemed to have a noticeable edge: past bowl experience. SDSU has been to 4 straight bowls, while this UB roster had no players left from our last bowl season. As a few writers mentioned, UB looked overwhelmed while SDSU looked comfortable.

If being shocked by a top 6 FCS early, only to catch fire and go on a run makes you bad, then Oregon St and Kansas St must be too.

Look. The MAC is better than it has been in the past--but even with all those those gaudy records last year the MAC finished just 2-5 in bowl games. I think both wins were over Sunbelt teams. While entertaining, the quality of MAC football is just not on a par with the AAC or MW at this time.

Our over rated D that's still ranked one of the best in the nation. I don't have UCF because they beat us. I hate the scumbag coach and their shady athletics department. That's what I hate about UCF. That, and they got every call all year...not just against us. Anyone who watched objectively could tell that.

BTW, I like Houston and Houston fans. Class acts. Wanna see a program that deserves to be in the big leagues but isn't yet, look at Houston. UCF fans could learn a thing from the Coogs.
