A tale of 2 halves for sure...
Nice Belk Bowl poster and programs given out at the game...
I think it was more the Bearcats not playing to their potential in the 1st half than MTSU. 2nd half shows this team can be very good.
Actual attendance about 7K..? More butts in the seats are definitely needed. I bought a mini-plan this year to support Mick and the program. I hope to see more games like the 2nd half.
Anyone think SK may be an All-American come the end of the year? I hadn't realized the Bearcats haven't had one since 2002.

Yes I do. Remember it only takes one person to vote for you to be an honorable mention. For him to get it he needs to keep up his point average when we get into conference play. The thing hurting him is we don't get the national recognition that we used to. For instance Bobby Brannen was an honorable mention all American but wasn't half the player SK is. Hopefully crossing the 2k plateau gets him some recognition from national writers.
On a somewhat related note he has become a great leader. He was going crazy on the bench yesterday when we were making a run while he was out. I don't think he gets near enough recognition for the player he's become.

Agree. All good points...his chances improve if he plays consistently well and we can knock off a ranked Duh Ville, UCONN, Memphis, etc.

The late season three game stretch against Louisville (CBS), at UConn (ESPN or ESPN2), and senior night against Memphis (ESPN or ESPN2) will probably determine the fate of this team and SK's All-American chances.

SK does not have great speed, great jumping ability and is not a good ball handler. But he is a winner and a scorer. Wish we had 5 more like him. (Incidentally, I think Troy Caupain will be very, very good before his career has ended.
