Looks like Foley may have his hands full this year
They haven't looked good to me in any game. There is a problem somewhere.

Five freshmen having to play too many minutes. It will pay off down the line, but it's tough right now. We all know that Coach Foley will continue to have his team improve. Losing Cobbins was a big blow. She was a Shanika Butler type player who could disrupt other team's offense and score off defense. I know they didn't look good in the first half last night, but that's what young teams do. Great one night, and horrible the next. If history teaches us anything, Coach Foley will right the ship. I enjoy watching the ladies play. They'll be in the top half of the league, and might really be strong going into the league tournament. Keep the faith!

Doc, I love Joe Foley as a coach. I think he's the best, but he's got a problem. Our so-called best players can't be depended on to score. They're either on or off. It happens too often. And don't give me this old too many freshmen bull****. His two leading players are a senior and a junior. They aren't performing like seasoned players. Can't depend on either of them showing up every game.
Being in the top half of a bad league isn't saying a whole lot, especially for a team that many had already crowned as champions when Middle Tennessee left the league. I know they'll win some games. But, look at the box scores and then tell me everything is rosy with his team leaders.

I know you think highly of Joe. And you certainly have a point. The Taylors, at least offensively, have been hot and cold. We don't have a Chastity Reed and Kim Sitzman, or Asriel Rolfe, except sitting on the bench next to Coach Foley. But I think we'll be pretty good before it's all over. If not, wait till next year.

I think Cobbins is the Sitzman like player he needs. She needs to find a way to lead from the bench.

We won't dominate the league. But, with MTSU gone, we are just as likely to win it as anybody.
