Radio coverage
I was working, so it looks like ray didn't make the trip due to a lost passport.

How did every follow the game?

Are you saying that there was no radio coverage due to Ray Tucker losing his passport? This program gets more bush league every day.

There was radio coverage, but it was Jacksonville crew doing the broadcast. It was on 106.7 as advertised. I only listened to the last half of the game, so I didn't know anything about Ray's missing passport. Pretty amazing.04-cheers

Its not like he just found out he was leaving the country. He has known about this trip for months. He had plenty of time to get a replacement. He just did not take care of business. I know where my passport is and I know when it expires. No excuse for this being a reason to miss the trip.

He probably just didn't want to go to the Virgin Islands and miss the hog game at Verizon today. If you're anybody important in this state, you wouldn't want to miss the chance to worship with other important folks at the alter of the hogs. Probably selling Pork Rinds at the concession stands.

The entire first half of the game was not on radio. I had given up, but turned it on, on a whim, at about 6:15 or so. It was finally on with the Jacksonville State announcer. He was quite decent, and I didn't detect the blatant homerism shown by every announcer in this State.

That makes it even worse. We've been screwed around for years, jumping from this station to that station, depending on what the hogs were doing, and now can't even give you a broadcast from the Virgin Islands. The coaches show I gave up on several years ago. I don't know how many times I was set to watch it on Comcast at 10:30, and the logo would come on the screen for 30 minutes, and no show. Every year this basketball program becomes a bigger joke.

It was pretty pitiful last night. The radio station never said a word about the game or why it wasn't on. Nobody was on our board so I didn't have a clue what was going on or if the game had been moved to yet another station.

I'm sure Phil Elson wouldn't have minded going on a trip to BVI. However, he had a women's game to cover. Crazy we didn't have anyone else to announce the game.

I think some are. Have you been reading Scotto's posts since before the season began? Sounds to me like he's laughing at the program. And why not, it's become somewhat of a joke. But, when you've been a fan as long as we have, it makes me sick to see how far the program has fallen. I can't speak for Scotto, but I even find myself laughing at some(most)of his posts.

Even I have to laugh at the program now.

Next year is going to be worse than this year.

Chris can retire and Steve just needs a fresh start at this point.
