Seeing the Rabona kick in another thread reminded me that I meant to post this earlier. It does not include the kick, but I think it should. It was definitely better than a good number of the included items. I suspect that not winning the game was what kept us out.

Watch Houston's #3. He has his hands behind his back just before the ball comes to him. That makes me laugh every time I see the kick.

If ever there is a game I wish we would have won, its that one. How sweet would it have been to win the Bayou Bucket in that manner!

Especially since the score before it was a blocked FG returned for a TD.

If we had gone on to score a TD after we recovered the onside kick, it would have been one of the most memorable come from behind victories of this whole year.

What could have been...

texd, that's a good pick up. As many times as I've watched that, I'm still amazed that he was caught so off-guard. But my focus is still on Boswell's execution of that kick.

The Wikipedia article on Rabona has this paragraph:
Quote:The Rabona was also used in American football by Rice University placekicker Chris Boswell to successfully deceive his opponents Houston University during an onside kick. Boswell had learned the trick from his father, who grew up playing association football in Brazil.[3]

The guy who added it did not do so as a registered user, but judging from his edit history, he appears to live or work in Ontario.

Still the best onside kick of the year.

Is there any video of the block return for TD?
