I doubt we will win this one as we are very limited on the inside. Our guards can play though. If we have a good shooting game, particularly 3 point shooting we have a chance. If our guards are not making shots we probably lose by 20.

We will be better next year. We have a transfer sitting out who will start and our best player from last year is sitting out a medical redshirt and will be back next year also.

It will be an interesting game tonight. I hope we can make it go down to the last 3-4 minutes.

I think both schools will really push this rivalry now. I know its probably already existed, but having football, and moving into the same league really changes things from a fan perspective.

Yeah, you can catch it at the GSU Sports Arena. Go to the North Springs Marta Station, get on a train, get off at 5 points, get on an east bound train, get off at the next stop (Capitol, Georgia State, State Office Buildings), Cross the street.

Yeah, you can catch it at the GSU Sports Arena. Go to the North Springs Marta Station, get on a train, get off at 5 points, get on an east bound train, get off at the next stop (Capitol, Georgia State, State Office Buildings), Cross the street.

Right across the street from your office.

I'll be on the way down to the airport around that time to pick up my brother and his kid . They are coming in for Christmas.

Georgia State 73 Georgia Southern 61 Final

As I predicted if our guards (Bussey and Hewitt mainly) did not have a great shooting night we would lose. The 2 of them combined were 9 for 28. We are so heavily dependent on our guards this year that when they have a shooting night like that we don't really have a decent chance at a win.

But congrats Ga. State. At least we did not hurt the conference RPI :)

GS basketball = GaSt football

You have to give the new coach, Byington, some time. I have liked what I have seen this year. Give him a couple of years to get his recruits in and then one can judge. I may be overly optimistic but I could see around a .500 record in the SoCon this year and that would be a BIG improvement.

We are still playing horribly

It is in the interests of the Sun Belt and of Ga. Southern and Ga. State for any game between these 2 schools to become a big rivalry game.
