Let's see. Let's start with the value of their scholarship first.

Exactly a bunch of lying manipulative hypocrite who care nothing about college football.
Now stating on the record that pay for play is bad for football and that it provides an unfair advantage.

The great bulk of D1 college athletes, male and female, and even the great bulk of football and basketball players, get "paid" far more in the value of their scholarship than they provide in value to the university.

The most interesting toughts dealt with an issue I hadnt considered. Paying athletes would create more of a pro-style system where underperforming athletes would be cut in favor of better performing athletes. It would be a more ruthless system for the student athletes. That means most non-starters would be in danger of losing their scholarship annually. My guess is athletes OT projected to play in thier Jr and Sr years would be in the most danger.

And it will probably end the practice of red shirting.

This would be more prevalent at richer p5 schools that could pay more than the rest.
The distance between even p5 schools would grow. Combine that with raising the number of scholarships offered. Imagine Alabama with 20 more scholarships and the ability to get rid of under performers. The competition would be performers--ua vs under performers--miss St.

Dumb question here but who are the "O'Bannon Plaintiffs"? A group of current NCAA players? Past NCAA players???? O'Bannon's legal team?
