RE: NOLA Bowl attendance....
Does being born into wealth make Tulane better people? Does being born into wealth make your daddy love you more? Does being born into wealth make your mom take less Xanax? Or does it just make you a delusional little snot that makes you think you are better than everyone because what your family before you accomplished. Not all but a lot of Tulane fans talk down to others and brag about the price of their tuition. They say the UL is for people who can't get into lsu. Maybe some people better themselves the best way they can. Maybe some don't have daddy's money to go to school for 8 years and get a general studies degree. Maybe some college kids still live at home and work to help the family. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their butt. It just disgusts me when people compare their self worth with bank accounts. Comment like the mansion comment make me sick. There are actual adults who think like this. The direction this country is heading I feel sorry for some of these people.

They're claiming 36,917. Based on some of the comments on other sites, there weren't anywhere near that number.

UL and La Tech both now have the same admission standards as LSU

Born n raised in Idaho, middle class there which is lower elsewhere. Paying my way through Tulane on my own. Took me 5, not 8 to finish my undergrad and a masters, in neuroscience not general studies.

So your gross generalization not only offends me, it speaks to the highest of judgemental hypocrisy. The cozy mansion was not only a joke but a backhand at our lazy upper class fans who could now give a damn.

So I guess you missed the part where is said not all. In general, at least on both of your boards. That's how the majority come off. In speaking with the bartenders, waiters, hotel staff and locals in New Orleans...that's how they see majority of Tulane fans as well. If it doesn't apply to you, then I wasn't talking to you. For a your own home city to feel the way they do about Tulane is pretty bad. For a school that majority of alumni are from around the country and not local...that you wouldn't look down at the locals as they are beneath you. After spending 3 days in Nola and talking to locals...I now understand why you can't put more than 2500 people in the dome for a home game.

So you spent your entire trip badmouthing our fanbase to people paid to agree with you? Cool. I dont care if to you I fit into the anomaly category. Your generalization was disgusting and hypocritical. Comments like that give fanbases free reign to turn around and generalize YOUR fan base. But then you cry foul? Laughable.

No I didn't bad mouth you...everyone from New Orleans did. I didn't ask these people what they thought, they told me. You know it's ok to lower yourself to talk to the help right? As much as this might surprise you, Tulane doesn't really matter to me. You have been just as irrelevant as we have in the world of athletics. You couldn't beat us, you couldn't win cusa which according to Tulane fans is sunbelt 2.0 and now you will move on to somehow be relevant in the American? Tulane will be the doormat of that conference. You will still be bottom barrel of a G5 conference. Any conversation about the the football game of the athletics program always just turns into Tulane fans reminding everyone how good academically Tulane is, how much it cost to go there, how much more successful people are from Tulane or some athletic accomplishment from the 19th century blah blah blah...totally deflecting from the fact that we beat you twice on the field, 1 in a bowl game in your home stadium and destroyed you in attendance in your own stadium.

I will give JD credit for this. Other than Cajun fans, he won't go out of his way to offend anyone.

If you're going to brag about your school's academic accomplishments, at least learn the proper use of it's versus its.

I'm rather amazed this thread is still around. Last Saturday, there was an electric 45,000 Cajun fans. The Green Wave could have rolled over when they went down 21-0. They didn't and fought back to get into the game. I wish Tulane much success in the AAC. They have a good coach and a new stadium on the way. Happy New Year Greenies! JD is cool. That Savacool dude I still think is a minor. He just acts too childish to be an adult.
