I resisted this time. How about you?

Difference is that ASU has won the last three titles.

Correction you shared it this year. Ok if the Cajuns were not in the league next year I'd vote for A-State with USA being close second. But then you look at a team like GSU who doesn't play the Cajuns or the Red Wolves that gives them an outside shot of winning the conference. The reasons I picked the Cajuns are we are losing three players 1 def, 2 off we will be stacked it will be a put up or shut up year for us.

Ha ha. We don't play UL or Ark St and have the toughest games at home so the schedule sets up nicely. Plus the fact the two best teams had to squeak out wins over GaSt gives me hope.

South Alabama if we learn to put teams away. We lost three games in the last seconds this year and almost took Tennessee to overtime. We should win the conference next year. The recruiting battle with USM and Troy should start to turn in our favor next year.

If not us, I think Texas State and ULL are the favorites based on the players coming back. I think Texas State will receive some highly talented transfers from the Big 12 schools.

Joey wasn't going for OT. He said he was going to go for two had we scored.

Hell, I don't even know how Jones will recover from his surgery.

Speaking of, Orakpo had surgery last week, also. Not sure for what, exactly, but it was a knee. Caught it on twitter.

He's on crutches right now.

That a credit to GaSt improvement, you will be surprise when you play GaSt I wouldn't be surprise if you get beat. If I were a betting man and i'm not I'd bet the house they don't go winless this year.

I think USA is the team to watch. Impressed with the fire they brought vs us and ULL. Their 1st quarter punch stunned us all game.

I think it is a toss up between the Cajuns and the Jags. Broadway will be what, a senior? That's bound to play a big role. That being said, USA did beat the Cajuns earlier this year - and they will only get better. I think USA might be able to win the conference, assuming they don't screw up against teams like Georgia St and So (no offense) and can muster out a win over Louisiana - Lafayette.

USA is two plays and mere seconds away from winning the Sun Belt this year. They lose a lot of seniors, but not a lot of impact players. The USA offense has a chance to be explosive. If our Defense comes together then we will definitely contend next year.

He's on crutches right now.

Saw him tweeting about his nephew or cousin playing with his crutches like they were toys. Then he was asking about rehab locations in Houston.

Figured it couldn't have been too bad, since he was still playing and didn't seem to decline much.

I claimed that we would win conference in 2014 this time last year. With all the loses at DLine I'm not sure I can stick with that prediction :( TXST should be a huge question mark, until then I reside with South Alabama

It's funny that you think that would have made even the slightest dent in their egos.

Haha, name a year that TXST is NOT a big question mark!

RE: Very early predictions for the 2014 SBC Champs
My bold prediction is that either Georgia Southern or App State will finish in the top 4 of the Sun Belt Next year, and win at least 4 league games.

My second not so bold prediction is that South Alabama will challenge for the league title next year. I cant say whether or not they will win it. But they should challenge.

A-State and South Alabama will be co-champs next year. I'll bet money on it if someone wants to.

South fans, how many seniors do you lose this year? And is Ross coming back? Those could factor in. I'm wondering if 2013 was the year all the guys who started the program were in their final year with South.

Everyone but Ga St had a shot this year and next year should be similar. stAte returns 8 all-conference players and 2 of the best playmakers in the league so we have a shot.

Forget money... Let's do an avatar bet! (easier to collect, people don't get so butthurt over it).

I don't even disagree, but I'll do an avatar bet. (yes, I have a gambling problem)
