Kovacs was nominated for Offensive Player of the Week....for the second time...but Grimaldi got it. Suspect if we had won Saturday...Kovacs' goal would have had more weight. Now just waiting to see if his amazing goal makes it to goal of the week which we all agree he should get. He is really coming along especially if Murray lets him, Balasy, Bershbach play more offensively and looser.

Since period 3 of the DU game, they've all been playing looser on offense, very up and down. I think it shows coaches ability to adjust quite well.

Both Kovacs and Hargroves goal should make the reel. Two great examples of individual effort,

Possible Iafalo's game winner in Sat. game, tough angle shot for a left hander to make on the left side.

yea, league is probably trying to be politically correct and make sure they pick goal scorers from differnent teams each week....

Possibly would agree...BUT....Grimaldi and Kovacs have both had #1 goals....Twice! (Edit) OOPS! JUst realised what you said or meant....no two players from any one team in the same week. Makes sense.

Get a big kick out of WMU's status in the hockey world! Check USCHO conference blog...DID YOU KNOW THAT KOVACS LEADS THE CONFERENCE IN CONFERENCE ONLY GAMES IN BOTH GOALS AND POINTS!!!! AND BERSHY IS TIED FOR THIRD!!! Gee....how'scome none of us seem to know about it? Is it because to the powers of the hockey world WE ARE INSIGNIFICANT and they want us to remain that way? Just frosts my you know whats that our players seem to get very little "rah/rah"! How does Grimaldi get offensive player of the week for three assists......Kovacs doesn't for two highlight reel goals and an assist! True....at least...Berschy HAS gotten some honors. BUT, in my opinion Kovacs has been the spark-plug of this team so far this season.
