Sold? I think we did worse.
UCF will have a good showing. But when people have to spend $1500-2000 on flights/hotels most will go the secondary market route.

But they clearly deserve it because they have AQ status!

I think NIU only sold around 3K tickets for the Orange Bowl. Most of the Huskies fans that went bought their tickets through secondary markets at a lower cost.

Hahah "The sugar and orange bowl both in driving range of most UCF fans, glendale flights expected to cost upwards of $700".

Looks like our loss screwed UCF by bumping them to the Fiesta bowl.

That's why they were rooting for the Huskies. They didn't want to travel so far.

And of course the people who slurp the big conferences will rip them for it. Nevermind the several decades head start the big money programs have in building their fan bases over UCF or us.

Boohoo. If we were in any of the BCS games it would have been a hike and very costly.

RE: Fiesta Bowl Ticket allotment
the 2013 orange bowl attendance was 72,000. To us fans, that is the only attendance number that should matter, when it comes to perceived NIU support.

ummmm. yes.

Would you rather have had 3000 fans go thru NIU only, or 15000 fans who were able to go thru secondary market? give me the greater number
