That's because Kansas and Kentucky both lost for the 3rd time and both moved down to 18 and 19. North Carolina jumped us.

At one time it was 4 teams in the top 25 but Cincy has tanked a couple of games.

One more proof the AP poll is a JOKE..

All those writers are some biased mofos... How in the hell you rank North Carolina ahead of Memphis when Memphis has not lost a game this pas week... How you rank North Carolina ahead of Memphis when they lost to unheralded UAB..

Come on, man. North Carolina has wins over then #1 Michigan State and #11 Kentucky. Their resume is better than ours and they deserve to be ranked higher.

I agree. I value quality wins much more than I do not having bad losses. Obviously, you don't like to see a team the caliber of UNC lose to both UAB and Belmont within two weeks of each other, but the fact that they beat Mich St at Mich State and Kentucky means they are capable of beating anyone.

This is why I was glad to see Memphis finally beat a big time opponent like OK St. Means they have it in them to beat such a team. In the past three years, we couldn't say that because they hadn't.

Either way, it's not that big of a deal right now who is ranked where. If Memphis handles Florida, they'll start getting LOTS of respect. If they don't, well then they're going to have to handle their business against L'ville, UCONN and Cincy later down the road.

Maybe it just proves that those teams that UNC beat are overrated. Teams get credit for beating these supposed "top" teams sometimes early season when it's all just based on preseason rankings. The top 4 this year started as Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Michigan State right?

#1 through #8 unchanged except Villanova beats LaSalle 73-52 and moves up 2 spots to tie with Duke at #8. UCONN has no games and lost 1 spot from #9 to #10 yet Baylor has no game and moves up from #14 to #12. Go figure why Baylor advances 2 spots. 01-lauramac2

So we've lost to one team , a top 5 team and we're down 2 spots Are the teams ahead of us really better than us. NC comes to mind .

UNC has wins over #5 Michigan State; #6 Louisville, and #19 Kentucky. All 3 are vastly overvalued based on their resume. That is why it is complete garbage when our own confused fans say that it is better to move under the radar, or that rankings aren't important at the beginning of the year.

We have a better resume than all of the bluebloods listed below.

Memphis
#7 Road L
#7 Neutral W

Louisville
#14 Neutral L

Kansas
#8 Neutral W
#8 Neutral L
#16 Road L
#20 Road L

Michigan State
#14 Home L
#19 Neutral W

Duke
#1 Neutral L
#18 Neutral L

North Carolina
#5 Road W
#6 Neutral W
#19 Home W
UR Home L
UR Road L

Kentucky
#5 Neutral L
#12 Neutral L
#14 Road L

Kansas is responsible for putting both Colorado and Villanova in the top 25. IF Colorado and Villanova don't play Kansas; they are in the same boat as Pittsburgh; undefeated but unranked.

Baylor moved up because two teams in front of them, Kansas and Kentucky both lost and moved down. The polls aren't always how you do. It's how other teams do as well.

Weird about UConn they haven't played a game since December 6. They play again on Wednesday which is 12 days between games.

You guys can say all you want... but those writers are BIASED... They wouldn't do that sh*t to one of the blue bloods...

Kentucky still ranked is another proof how biased they are... Kentucky shouldn't be ranked at this point... ESPN market these teams like UNC and Kentucky pretty well!
