RE: Tigers up 1 spot to #15 in AP poll
Ikr. Sad to say, I detect zero sarcasm in that post.
ESPN needs to update their site to accomodate these unknowing changes which occur given they have the resources to know these things.

The FACT way.
FACT
At this point, there are no FACTS in the rankings. All rankings are based on variables of information, but there is much mis-information due primarily at this point to the small sample size of games and time for teams to develop chemistry.
Even with our best team of all time in 2008, it was never a fact that we were the #1 team in the nation. It was a fact that we were ranked #1 by the AP and the coaches poll, but the only fact that could be ascertained by season end was that we were one of the 2 or 3 best teams in college basketball that year. I believe if we had played all the Final Four teams 20 times each, the result would have leaned towards the probability that we were the #1 team, and given that sample size, perhaps the results would have then made it a fact.
But to read an OKSt ranking of #7, #5, #8 or whatever as a fact even in the face of continual change is completely illogical.
Wow...
