Chris Petersen bailing on Boise (after numerous offers in the past) now should tell you all you need to know about the odds of success in the new format -- where even the best programs will be at a 10-1 or 20-1 cash disadvantage before the first ticket or is even sold.
x2
It's not like UC wasn't behind on funding before.
I picked buy.
Realignment potential....although, we must consider that UC in a conference like the big 12 may not do as well as it has the last 8 years or so. Ohio has 1 power conference school and Cincinnati is a good market and Ohio is a fertile recruiting area
UC at top of AAC food chain
Tuberville Whit and Ono....very strong management group
Nippert renovations

Back to realignment, UC seems to be well positioned to be next candidate or in next group of two. I looked at map of ACC yesterday and it's so blaring especially when talking about adding an ACC network, that Ohio would be a desirable add more than any other location. Big 12 seemingly needs to add two at least.
Even if realignment ends up dropping to 4 conferences, and some current P5 teams drop out, those mixed with rest of best from AAC like UC would be an upgrade and possibly even result in more money too.
Way way to early to be a sell. In fact sellers would be classified as panic sellers.
Should be able to finish top 3 of AAC every year and win it at least some of the time....reality is UC, UCF and Houston will be top of league every year
