Belk Bowl Sendoff Recap
I want to give some tidbits from yesterday's send off at D&B's:

-We are the visiting team. TT confirmed Red Helmets, Black Jersey's, and Red pants. We were granted a waiver by the NCAA to wear the black uni's since UNC is wearing their powder blue jerseys with dark pants.

-TT designed the helmet. Said could you imagine what it would look like if i let the players design our helmet.

-A question was asked of what it takes to become an upper echelon football program. TT's response: "We are an upper echelon program. We are one of only 4 programs with 10 wins in 5 of the last 6 seasons. We have a chance to make it 6 of the last 7. You guys keep losing coaches. Your coaches do not stay for the long haul. But dont worry we arent going anywhere. We are in it gor the long haul. We have to keep recruiting speed."

-Kay was in a walking boot.

-If going to the game TT said to wear red.

-TT stated that they will be putting some new trick plays into the playbook.

-TT stated that 15 players have went under the knife this season. Stated that during a noraml "bad" year is 4-5 players going under the knife.

-TT joked with Stepp when Stepp stood up when TT asked the players who graduated on Saturday to stand. TT said it must have been an easy major.

I have video of Blair's and Kay's speech that I will post when I upload it to Youtube. If remember anything else I will post it.

Thanks for the recap!

The Upper Echelon question is very typical of local meeting and TT's response was very BK. I am excited by the programs future.

Will Kay practice or be limited? I assume he will start and the boot is just precaution?

Keep the boot on until kickoff if UNC thinks it means Coney will start.

Also appreciated Coach's comment about upper echelon. If we don't say we are top tier who else will? Saying it, is a key to believing it and making it happen. We have measurable results from a BCS conference for several years to support his contention.
