I liked the way the guy talked about closing the gap between performance and potential. I don't know if he will be able to do that much at Eastern but I like his attitude. Most people measure a team's success just by its won/loss record, but I tend to put more weight on how close they came to achieving their potential as a team----I really like the over-achievers.

I truly believe EMU can be a winner.

They have had quality athletes but just haven't had the ability to get over the hump.

Much like Kent St.

But Kent put on a clinic last season and were a win away from the BCS. It can happen anywhere.

I didn't know Henry Rollins was coaching college football now. :)

Anything that makes the MAC more competitive is good in my eyes. I wish him the best!

That was a one-time deal... What happened this year? Anyone can have a good season here and there (see also: Miami), but can they really build a winner? Tough gig when you still in this day and age share your stadium with the track team and compete directly for attendance with Michigan. He's going to have to be one heck of a recruiter.

Miami is a great program in a slump.
