But my taste in movies is rather eclectic. A personal favorite is The Groove Tube.

Rocky 2-5 is a mixed bag. Only real FAIL is 5. It had the story line for a good one BUT execution and acting made it suck a big one. 2, 3, and 4 were basically for their opponents and following Rocky's career path.

#6, Rocky Balboa, was pretty solid IMO.

I always thought the Godfather was horribly overrated. It was one of the most boring movies I've seen.

Agreed. I liked the cinematography and the story....some of the scenes...but I could never get into it like some.

That's what is interesting. Some "classics" are actually hated by a good number of people.

Talked w/ a friend on Sun, he said he used to love Jaws, but tried to re-watch it recently and was bored. I've seen parts of GWTW, and thought it dull, and as I said previously, I genuinely hate IAWL.

For the record, some classic films (from AFI Top 100) I've seen and love (or at least like enough to recommend)

West Side Story
Citizen Kane
Amazon Queen
Stalag 17
2001: A Space Odyssey
American Graffiti
The Great Escape- good, but depressing ending!
On the Waterfront- Worth seeing. but low on this side of the list.

Otherwise
Casablanca- ok, but not that spectacular
Maltese Falcon- meh. Somewhat confusing too.
The Graduate- lame. huge disappointment
Easy Rider- same as above. big letdown

Worth noting- AFI includes such POS on their list as
Forrest Gump

I took a TV and film class in HS and the final was simply watching this because my teacher thought that "We needed to see an old movie". For as low of a budget/tight filming schedule along with all the up and coming stars in it, it's a heck of a film.

Most of Star Wars. Think I saw some of the originals when I was too young to remember.

Just doesn't have a huge interest for me.

I don't understand how someone can find Jaws boring. LOL. I love that movie.

I think The Graduate gets a lot of noise because for the time it was rather risqué. I actually dig the ending and the whole "oh crap what now" feeling they have.

2001: A Space Odyssey is a great movie but it left me feeling rather depressed and I'm not sure why.

From AFI Top 100 I've actually seen 33. My favorites are
Casablanca
GWTW
To Kill A Mockingbird
It Happened One Night
The Silence of the Lambs
Raging Bull
