Those guys are the keys....they played well in the 2nd half. We won because of them.

RE: Joe and Chris
To me in order of importance tonight it was:
1. Shaq
2. Crawford
3. Geron/Joe
4. Pellom
5. Everyone else lumped together.

Geron gave us a spark in the first half. Shaq and Crawford helped us overcome our deficit in the 2nd half. Pellom gave us energy and defense. Joe closed out the game for us. Joe really didn't play well at all until the end. He was 1-9 at one time and very tentative but you put him on the line at the end and he is gold.

Love me some JJ and CC. Those two and CJP are primarily responsible for the resurrection of Tiger basketball, post X apocalypse.

the only thing I know about Portland is that in the late 70's the Trailblazers beat my favorite player Dr. J and the Sixers for the title. 03-banghead

that's right. oh man did I love watching Moses play. Cheeks and Toney would throw it to him down low and it was awesome. four, four, four. but when he said it, it sounded more like foe, foe, foe! he made a living at the line.

Big minutes from Pellom. When the team needed it.

His best game by far.

Andrew Toney could shoot, but man he had the weirdest knack for bending his legs way behind him which I always thought was odd.

Dr. J is my all time favorite.....I was at the gym last week and they had a sports channel on.....I couldn't hear what he was saying, but they were asking Dominique Wilkins to rate the top 5 dunkers of all time.....he put Dr. J # 1.....I gained a lot of respect for Wilkins.

You got that right. I am headed to Portland this morning for the 5th time in the last year! Just buy a bicycle and don't bathe and you will fit right in. Lots of good beer but still way weird!

Hopefully this is a trajectory of improvement showing, a bounceback into gamespeed playing after not playing all, or most, of last season and sitting out right at the start of this year with the knee surgery.

I noticed last night, when a ball goes up, he puts a butt on somebody and backs them out or moves into position for the ball, instead of just standing there looking at it like I'm used to seeing from Tigers. Maybe some other players will take notice and maybe pick up some habits.
