Space Shuttle
It's 10:23 PM and I and the family just watched the space shuttle and space station streak across the southern sky. It was cool. Then a low wur of an AH64 Apache went over the house. Good educational op for the kids.

Wow that is awesome... I used to dream about going up in the shuttle. I remember I was in 7th grade science class and we were watching the Challenger launch when that disaster happened. I will always remember that moment.

Those people are incredibly brave for doing what they do. It was great seeing the takeoff go well, and on July 4 too.

I remember Kennedy's speech about landing a man on the moon by the end of the 1960s. When I was a kid I dreamed of being the man who built the first moon colony. Scratch that idea. Governmental prioritizing and a cut back in space spending killed my dream before it ever had a chance.
