The great thing is that Watts is getting to play now, as a freshman. Frazier comes back next year with a more experienced game, Watts continues to get good minutes and is ready to be our starting PG as a junior with experience.

It feels good to have a coach that is looking at the long term success and can visualize the big picture of the program.

I agree, I think he has played well. He hasn't scored much (barely at all), but he hasn't really been called on to try and score either.

Hopefully Watts, Madison and Riddeau will log good minutes against Chattanooga, Alabama A&M, Newberry, and UTSA. That's several games where should be able to play a lot in the next month.

We need to recruit a top point guard, I have a feeling if Frazier continues his good play, we are sucessful make a run in conference and in the NCAA or NIT, Fraziers options will be better then Milsap.

Frazier is turning the ball over near 5 times a game. The guy is very good at a lot of things, but until he gets that under control, the NBA isn't even an option. I think he'll play professionally somewhere one day, but I hope he stays at UAB for the full 2 years.

Progress, good coaching and improved results to date. Is it just a coincidence that our MBB is the only major men's program with competitive new facilities to support them?

not so. Official attendance was over 3000 hearty souls. Late arriving crowd I guess. It was plenty loud and I did my part, as usual, in dog cussin the refs for awhile.

Thanks...I actually thought there were only 50

Jon Solomon probably bribed the cameraman to shoot vid of some empty seats, rather than at the people who were there cheering and whoopin it up at all the "highlight" Plays. Best one in my opinion was when Swing took off leading a 3 on 1 or 2 fast break,, he dribbled just past the key and did a behind the back pass to Washington on the right wing who promptly tossed up a beautiful jump shot that swished the net.

RE: Georgia Southern
I thought it was a pretty good crowd for a December game against a non-marquee opponent with the students gone for the break.

That play was awesome, BD. Also, Riddeau's ridiculous steal and lay up that left their whole team just standing there watching him.

He was by himself for so long that everyone was on their feet, and a little disappointed he didn't throw it down.
