Ball St loses OC/QB coach to Elon
Quote:ELON, N.C. — Elon has hired Ball State assistant Rich Skrosky as its football coach.

Athletic director Dave Blank announced the hiring Thursday.

Skrosky was on Pete Lembo’s staff at Elon from 2006-10 before following him to Ball State, where he spent the past three seasons as the Cardinals’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Ball State could lose a bunch of coaches for the bowl, especially if Lembo gets one of the jobs he's interviewed for.

Was probably pretty easy being the offensive coordinator for Ball State for the past couple seasons.

Lou Holtz always said this was good for his program b/c other young coaches would want to be a part of a program where they could advance their careers. It is certainly a compliment to Ball St.

Isn't Ball State doing a home and home with an FCS school?

I think BSU bought out the return game. We are all familiar with that drill.

They bought that game out. Old AD did that deal.

Report is that Joey Lynch, recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach at Ball State, will be the new BSU offensive coordinator. Lynch is the son of former Ball State and Indiana University coach Bill Lynch, now the head coach at DePauw, and Billy Lynch, an assistant coach at C-USA champ Rice. Joey was a highly efficient quarterback at Ball State who lost his starting position to Nate Davis.

Still even after a game of "Swords" I'm not sure how that could happen.

That would be tough to do. He's the son of Bill Lynch and brother of Billy.

Pete Lembo is a good coach, even though I hate to admit it. BS picked a good one.
Even if Ball State keeps him this year would certainly keep some resumes handy by next year.
He never beat us while over at Elon, but came awfully close considering the disadvantages that
he had there in comparison. Got a feeling he eats, sleeps and bleeds football.
