Reviewing stats for top 15 teams in USA Today poll and it shows the Tigers as the only team in top 35 in Points(15th), Rebounds(34th), Assist(16th) and shooting %(28th).

Points, rebounds and assists will be skewed for us because we play at such a high pace.

The FG% is good though.

You can attribute that to dunks and lay-ups also. The good thing about this year is we will get tested with good zones and slow down opponents all year and maybe we'll be ready in March instead of shocked.

If we're getting dunks and layups, we're doing something right. FG% is a tempo free stat, unlike the other three.

Stats are also very much a function of schedule played.

We are also toward the top of that list according to the early RPI ratings. Of course those numbers will change dramatically over the next month.


Didn't see the new way of rating teams post when i started this one.

We are definitely an explosive team this year, and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
