Bearcat Equipment's twitter said it was a version of the cat scratch.

Overall--I like it too. Bowl helmets seem to be the new wave in one-off uniform variations. We are still blessed with the best colors in all of sports so distinctive helmets create excitement for fans, players and recruits. If UC can sell a few...or a few hundred to raise money for athletics so much the better.

Great helmets. They have outdone themselves the last couple of years.

Anyone buying one for their man cave?

I like them very much, but $1000 is a little steep. It's not the $1000, it's the cost of the resulting divorce that would exceed the budget.

Ha... great response. My girlfriend gets a horrified look every time I tell her about my plans to create a Bearcat tailgate vehicle whenever I have the ability to do so.

Those helmets are great. Really UC has done a great job on their bowl helmets and I love that other than that they have stuck to their uniform helmets, because the black, cpaw helmets are still amazing.

Bought last year's. Probably pass on this year since it's another red helmet. If black chrome I would consider it.

I made a similar comment when I saw the price, love to have one but $1,000 is a bit steep.

Great job on the helmets, the best yet in my opinion.

Not for $1,000. Besides, it would give my wife a reason to spend $1,000 and I would be out a total of $2,000.....

I like the helmets but dont love them... as far as tailgate vehicles the best I've seen in person:

I've been saying do the helmets in red metallic for a few years now. Love them.

Maybe if I tell my wife the grand is tax deductible.
