I think USF has more merit being in a BCS Bowl than UCF because they were #2 in the country before us.

Get a grip, Quo.

I sure did. It has always irked me when a team ranked low gets in to a BCS bowl game ahead of more deserving teams just because they are a conference champion. I have dumped on the B1G and ACC about that many times.

Of course I enjoy doing it about UCF more, but hey, I'm a USF fan. 04-cheers

I will be honest and say that you make good points, but if UCF wins, I can't believe that many of the AAC fans will be want to read much of any opinion that you want to bring up. You're not much of an AAC fan, or USF fan since that is what they will belong to for the near future, at least.

I agree with Quo that there are some better teams than UCF that should be in BCS bowls. But using that logic Alabama, Auburn, Missouri, South Carolina, and arguably LSU should all be in BCS bowls. Those five SEC teams could beat Stanford, Ohio State, Clemson, and Michigan State.

But Quo it's not about what should happen. UCF meet the requirements this year and the earned it. UCF unfortunately got one of the worst teams possible to play but if UCF's offense shows up they have a chance at beating Baylor.

Which ones?

Oregon and Stanford. I would put them around equal with Missouri and the B10 teams.

Oregon and Stanford won 10 games against two of the toughest schedules in the country while UCF played by far the softest schedule of the top 20 ranked teams, and you think UCF had more merit than them?

Yes. Getting a good SOS isn't all that impressive if there is no requirement to actually win those games. I think it should be only used as part of the discussion when the records are comparable.
