Huskie All-Access Question
I was considering subscribing to this but noticed that the stream for home games has not worked once all year for basketball. Id hate to subscribe and have this not work, does anyone know if there is a refund policy?

I paid $50 for the annual subscription. I cannot get anything. When I wrote, my e-mails were never returned. If you subscribe - which I do not recommend - do it for one month only. However, if there is an automatic renewal, stay away!

RE: Huskie All-Access Question
That is a shame, I subscribed for several years and everything worked well. I canceled this year to save some money. I was thinking of resubscribing during basketball season only as those broadcasts are not streamed by WSCR or WLBK I think in an effort to get people to aubscribe to all access. Strangely and happily the football broadcasts are streamed. Digital Rights Management is an evolving art.

I guess there is no reason to resubscribe if the streaming does not work.

RE: Huskie All-Access Question
You can watch all of the games for free on other streaming websites. I wouldn't suggest it if All-Access was worth getting, but from all accounts it sounds like you're better off watching it on one of the websites.

RE: Huskie All-Access Question
May I humbly suggest tuning into the radio broadcast? Always free, always working.

And you get Bill Baker, which will make your life better listening to his sweet dulcet tones. Of course, you'll have little ability to follow the action nor understand what is going on, but life is a game of compromises.

Do NOT subscribe to all-access. Way too often it doesn't work. Have written many times to NIU(Donna Turner et al) with no response. Stay Away.

RE: Huskie All-Access Question
Even the free sites are not working though because the stream is not making it out of the Convo center. I understand a glitch in the first game of the season, but really shocked nothing has been done about a quarter into the season.

Does not work for those of us out of state. The basketball radio broadcasts are not streamed probably in an effort to get people to subscribe to all access.

They should refund the money of those who paid. This is sad, embarrassing, and inexcusable.

It is also correctable as it has worked just fine in the past.

Maybe there was just fear of another 6-win campaign and they decided they didn't want the product getting out.

I have asked them to fix the problems and they don't respond and they don't fix the problems.

RE: Huskie All-Access Question
For those of you who are out of state you may consider using "tune in radio". It works great, is free (or at least my iPhone app was free) and it is very stable. You can listen to just about any radio station in the nation from anywhere.

http://tunein.com They also have a website. I have never used it, but if it is anything like the iPhone app I would highly recommend it!

It seems like NIU is trying to control the product but they can't even get it out to the public. After what we've seen in basketball over the last few years, there may be a reason. Pretty sad that a fan can't watch the game on a service he's paid for and can't even listen to the game unless he's in the DeKalb area.

This whole all-access thing is starting to bother me more, because I don't think the lack of streaming is really a glitch, I think its a slim down consistent with the more limited parking areas, not taking down the upper bowl for games, etc. There are definite cost-cutting things going on for basketball, which is fine, but I find it marginal robbery to charge people for a service that is not being provided. Does anyone know a point of contact for this?

Thanks, I do use thst app and it works for the football but not the basketball broadcasts. Does not work for WBBM for the Bears either though you can get a stream for the Bear games if you connect via their home page

Try Donna Turner in media relations. She may or may not respond but either way nothing will get corrected.
