I think the RICE QB should have gotten MVP since he did lead his team to the title. The others are certainly deserving.

So you don't think Cato should have gotten MVP last year? (serious question, I am not trying to troll. I am just curious if you think that basically the QB on the CUSA Champ should win MVP every year.)

Ummm…Ok.

I look at it this way.

Cato is the better QB of the two and deserves the POY honor.

Carden is more valuable to his team because if he goes down ECU is probably sunk. If Cato goes down we are deep enough at QB there may be a 1-2 game difference. I know we could still win games with Blake as QB and Gunnar is a future star as well. Being the most valuable player does not always equate to being the best. ECU was carried by Carden the way Marshall was carried by Cato last year.

ECU does not have a run game they can fall back on and rely on either. Marshall does. The awards are justly handed out.

Congrats to Shane Carden. Well deserved.

Leave to a Marshall fan to ***** and moan about the CUSA MVP award and somehow try to spin it is a negative for the team that player is on. I like how you did that…Very creative. "The best player gets the lessor award which is actually the better award"….Whatever makes you feel better. How about you just congratulate all these young men for their hard work and success.

I corrected it before I even saw your post…I saw that after I posted. You are 100% correct it is actually a very small number of Marshall fans on this board. ECU has them as well….

Congrats to Carden, Cato, and Jackson….All were very deserving of their respective awards.
