Keg of Nails viewing from an Outsider
I've lived in Columbus my whole life and have been kind of back and forth on rooting with the Bearcats. On the one hand, I like rooting for Ohio teams and was happy to see them rise up. On the other hand, I'm first and foremost a Buckeye fan and I was in the car listening to Cincinnati radio for about a half hour as they bashed the Buckeyes for anything and everything while trying to promote the Bearcats a few years ago (in the back and obviously didn't have control of it). Since then, I've found myself both rooting for and against depending on the circumstances/mood/etc.
I have a friend at work though who is a huge Bearcat fan and he got tickets for the Louisville/UC game and offered to bring a couple of us. I hadn't been to a live football game since I graduated from OSU in 2008/2009 and figured it would be fun. Four of us went, 2 primarily Bearcat fans, 1 primarily Buckeye, and 1 primarily Fighting Irish fan.
I will say that I really enjoyed my time. The campus area was very nice and I would have liked to walk around more in the day time, the pizza we had beforehand was great, the stadium was neat where it was in campus (I can also understand expansion issues better after having seen it too). It rained and was cold, but the crowd seemed into it and I was definitely cheering hard for the Bearcats.
Oh.Oh.Oh...U.C.

Don't pay much head to those radio spots... 700 WLW is anti-UC too. When those spots came on the air I remember being bothered that they acted like they have supported UC all along. Most of the on-air talent are fans of Xavier, UK and a MAC school while others are not even interested in college sports.
Glad you had a good time. When I lived in Columbus I brought some friends down as well who enjoyed the experience.

I can't remember the name of the pizza place, but it began with a p. It was close to Adriodico's (we went in there first, but the wait seemed too long).
Glad to hear that on the radio stations.
Few other thoughts: I liked the band entrance. It was neat seeing them all come in running down the steps.
The student union/bookstore was nice. Seeing the textbooks though reminded me that I'm happy not to have to pay for them again

Pomadori's most likely
Thanks for the good words, the campus atmosphere for a game is great IMO

Based on your desription sounds like Pomodori's. Good pizza but Adriatico's would have been better. I am sure you are aware there is also an Adriatico's near campus at Ohio State. It is located at the intersection of Neal and 11th I believe. The Adriatico's in Cincinnati is a nicer facilty and has a full bar, but the pizza is just as good.

It was Pomodori's.
Definitely know about Adriatico on campus at Ohio State and it's probably my favorite pizza. I wasn't sure if it was the same one or not though. The one at Ohio State is older and looks like it's been there forever and I never remember them putting up anything about New York style pizza in their name or logo. Never occurred to me it was a chain and based on the difference in looks, part of me was actually guessing it was an entirely different company even with the same name.
Edit: Quick look online and it looks like the OSU and UC locations are the only 2. I'm guessing the UC does not call their big pizza the Buckeye

It's called the Bearcat, and has resulted in many a carb induced coma for quite a few of us on this board, I'm sure...
Thanks for the posts!

thx for dropping by Ohio1317….I have generally found your posts well thought out, non-elitist, and you usually provide good stats/documents for your arguments. You are a welcome OSU fan (one of the few haha jk).
Seriously though, glad you had a great time.
