Do you think Broadway will play all-or-most of the game?

Doesn't really sound like it, according to Hudspeth:

Of course, what coaches say to the media on Wednesday does not determine what happens on the field on Saturday.
But still...

He "took snaps and threw the ball around" yesterday with a cast on his forearm...I think your guess is as good as mine. We won't know until the first drive.

We need the SOS for the playoffs and nothing personal but the committee won't be impressed with us playing a Sun Belt school OOC (and we already have Texas State scheduled and that's bad enough) at the same time, most P5 teams dodge us in fear of a loss.

I also believe you're all booked up for the next couple of years too.

That sounds like a pretty reasonable answer to me. I guess I was more wondering why U of H hasn't scheduled us in the recent past (last several years) prior to the playoff discussions. I think the last game played was in the mid to early 2000's.

You are right, a loss to a sunbelt school wouldn't look very good come playoff time

Yup, we're afraid to lose to U-Lala and their 104th ranked recruiting class. Why would we want to risk playing in that high school stadium where the 16,000 angry cajuns have a homefield advantage that rivals LSU's Death Valley. 03-lmfao

Seriously though, why should we pay a few hundred thousand dollars just so an irrelevant school like Louisiana-Lafayette can pay their bills since they don't make much football revenue?

Our fans would be real excited to see that matchup. 07-coffee3

So UH fans can't get excited about a chance to beat the Cajuns but they are overly excited about getting a beat down from Texas State? Sounds like you guys need to get your priorities straight......02-13-banana

Has Houston agreed to play any football games at Wacker Field?

No, you don't want to place us. We beat you at your erector set high school stadium with your all American QB and we just beat you again in basketball. You don't understand the number of fans we would bring to the game, but I guess money is no concern for the mighty cougars. Keep in mind that after this year, your glorified conference is in the same boat as the MWC, MAC, CUSA and the SBC. You are right there with us buddy. Chew on that for a while.

One day you might get out of the Belch and into CUSA which is now the Sunbelt 2 but I doubt Louisiana Tech will allow it.

Tech won't fight it despite any postings by fans. The President makes that decision and he will not jack with politics. Tech needs UL's support within the UL System in a lot of areas and won't jeopardize that.

Seems the college career, and NFL future of Terrance Broadway are still as bright as December 20, 2013. I am so appreciative that some Lamers were very concerned about both.

So let's keep this straight, a man with a three week old broken throwing arm, a fourth string quarterback, and a field goal kicker that has never kicked a field goal in his college career beat the mighty Green Ripple defense, and the Lou Groza winner where any time the mighty Ripple reaches the UL 40 they can count three.

That pretty much sums it up, except you could have added......and a field goal kicker who has never kicked a field goal in his college career nailed the game winner in front of 54,000 fans and a national TV audience while the Ripple's Lou Groza award winning kicker choked like fat Mamma Cass.

Yeah, I know, she really didn't choke on a ham sammich, but....

Enjoy your long stay in the Belch now the Southland 2. You have two or three schools ahead of you such as Texas State before you get considered in a few years for CUSA now known as the Sunbelt 2 Conference with all its new Sunbelt members. That is if Louisiana Tech does not blackball your application. I truly hope in the near future that you can get your academics up to Tier 1 level and USL can raise the approximately 136m for athletic plant improvements.. Realistically all I see is the 5m first phase in place. Tulane raised 76m for its new stadium in cash with a few telephone calls to alumni and supporters. Also your annual athletic budget and TV market is pathetic. Good luck!

You have already proven in previous posts, you don't really know what you are talking about and the fact that you say it, it stands to reason to think the opposite is reality. So, thank you, we will be fine, we will make the best out of our stay in the Sun Belt, but we don't plan on being here forever. Where ever we wind up, you can be sure, we won't be a cellar dweller like Tulane, we will be at the top, competing to be the best of that conference.

07-coffee3 yeah, we know... You keep telling us how great you are. LMAO!! Too bad the Big East didnt buy it. You had a relatively succesful year in a weak, weak CUSA. Next year you will go back to being a doormat. You had a chance to be a contendah on your home turf. Instead UL once again proved that NO is a Cajun town, just ask the board of tourism.
You're in New Orleans and have twice the athletic budget yet we still are better than you*( at least since you've been born). How fu**ed up is that!!! LOL!!

Z

Seriously, mods?? I have to police my own words?? You dont have f**k on the "No-no" list.. Do your jobs.

Z, a lot of that athletic budget is funny money. TooLame scholarships for the athletes are at virtually zero costs to the university, almost a fixed cost being spread out. I guess Benson and Glazer will have to underwrite their negative costs on that new stadium. At the dome all they paid was 15K per game per the original agreement with the dome. It will cost more than 15k to open the doors or not open the doors.
