It may turn out to be a good movie but when I watch it this time I won't be so gullible. I think I'll stick to Tuesday 1 dollar night to watch this version. At least if it sucks I won't feel like I got taken by Un-Holywood.

Have fun watching it guys.

What exactly were you gullible about? I have never taken a Godzilla movie seriously except for the 1998 version which was a huge disappointment. I just watch Godzilla to watch monsters fight. But I'm also glad this movie will have a more serious tone to it and I trust Garth Edwards to do it right unlike the 1998 version.

While I was 13 when it came out, we all should have known Ferris Bueller as the lead character spelled doom for the movie.

I like Matthew Broderick, but yeah, he didn't really seem like the best choice for that role.

Interesting read IMO.

Yeah, and the buildup makes it more like Japanese movies. Do agree with the Japanese though who think they made him too fat...lol. He was kinda fat in a couple Japanese movies also, but it was usually mostly in the thighs.

Godzilla has always had a dunlap belly. He has never been the poster child of a great physique.....lol.

Lol true, but if you look at the pics below for comparison, it really does look like the American version is more plump.

From the neck on down, he really just does look fat, for lack of a better word. You can see though how the traditional Japanese Godzillas were usually thicker around the thighs than anywhere else.

Hell, he's doing pretty good for a 60-yard old. I'm two years younger, my roar has lost some of its bite and I often find myself green in the mornings (of Herd games) 03-lmfao

Going to see it in 3D this weekend. It'll be my daughter's first ever PG-13 movies so she's excited. Right down our alley.

No weirder than allegedly grown folks getting excited about UNT Football.

Just sayin.

GOZIRRA!!!

*edit* While I'm on cheesy faux oriental accents, I gotta share one with you. I play an online game, and the names of the players can be original, inventive, and fun sometimes. The other day I saw a player who had named his character "Bluce Ree".

I s*** you not. Thats *so* wrong, but I still about busted a gut.

That is all.

Watched it @ 7pm tonight. Worth every penny. Biased opinion of someone who has seen every Godzilla movie made about 3-4 times though...lol.

Good movie. Could have been a little more Godzilla and Cranston but far better than that 1998 version. Also, I didn't see the need for 3D although in IMAX, Zilla's roar is damn impressive!

I just saw it and I don't know how you could have made it any better. Just the right amount of both darkness and cheese.
