Let's see. Who's available? Dan Hawkins. Petrino would cream to get there. Gene Chizik. Maybe Mike Shanahan.

Yes, that's a choice that seems obvious to me. Les didn't leave for Michigan back when Rich Rod got the job but I got the feeling he would leave for the right position. I think Texas would be the right position.

No chance whatsoever on any of those.

Clarion, my gut response to the mention of Graham was, "please God, NO!" However, he might get an interview.

For those who think Texas put all of their eggs in the Saban basket do you really believe that to be the case? Certainly, there is nothing wrong with shooting for the best in the business. So they didn't get him. No harm done. No other candidate is going to feel like they were slighted because Texas went after Saban first. The Texas job is still one of the best in the country and there will be more than a few big names that will be interested in taking on the challenge. Whether the powers that be at Texas make the right choice is another question, but they will have attractive options.

I have no idea who will get the job. I would be surprised, however, if the choice is made prior to the national championship game.
