Any TV Ratings Numbers From this Past Weekend?
Some SMU people are claiming the SMU-UCF game outdrew the Pac-12 Championship game. That would be something.

No numbers reported yet for UCF-SMU (which I watched most of). Presumably did not make the cut. Would be suprised to see a 0.7 or something like that when its reported later.

UCF-SMU drew a 1.3 rating on ESPN Saturday. That is higher than the 1.1 rating the Pac-12 championship received.

If correct, it's a real 03-nutkick to the AAC that the press covering the media are not reporting this.

This articles appears to be saying they received the same 1.1 rating as the PAC game. Their share of viewers were higher because of the time slots involved.

But still well done by the Knights.

OMG, two compliments to UCF in the past couple of days. I must be mellowing in my old age. 03-wink

Cheers,

Yes, if Oklahoma St won, the Cowboys get the honor of playing UCF in the Fiesta Bowl.

When OSU lost, the winner or Ut-BU was guaranteed to be conf champ.

Exactly, so OSU/OU was the title game.

Exactly, so OSU/OU was the title game.

But OU couldn't finish any better than a 3 way tie for 2nd. UT/Baylor was an unadvertised, determined at the last second conference championship game. Winner won the championship.

RE: Any TV Ratings Numbers From this Past Weekend?
According to this, http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/12...re/221409/ , UCF-SMU had 1,438,000 viewers and got a 0.5 rating among 18-49. No HH rating is shown, but this would typically translate into a rating around a 1.0. The P12 CCG is not in the top 100, meaning that it got a rating in the 18-49 below 0.4. At a minimum, the UCF-SMU game did better in the 18-49 demo.

C-USA ratings were SAD SAD SAD this year. They'll be lucky to get $10, a 12 pack of Coke, and an ESPN cap when the current contract is up.

They were sort of both title games. The second one was kind of more so because the either team if they won would have won the conference.

It is important to remember that the P12 championship game was on at the same time as both the B1G and ACC championship games. I suspect that had a major impact on the ratings...

Ha. They aren't getting a lot but it had been more than MAC and Sun Belt. MAC is being under payed by ESPN.

That and the fact that the PAC CCG had no impact on the NCG. It was only for a spot in the Rose Bowl. I mean, who would care about that?

RE: Any TV Ratings Numbers From this Past Weekend?
Final ratings for Championship Saturday now posted on http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-...v-ratings/

The P12 CCG ended in a virtual tie with UCF-SMU. Both games had a 0.9 rating, but the P12 CCG had 10,000 more viewers, 1.45 M v. 1.44 M.

The MAC CCG on Friday night and the MWC CCG at 10 pm Saturday each topped both the P12 CCG, as did UL-UC's game on Thursday.
