Big game for us tonight at home against Green Bay. They're a pretty good team (just knocked off Virginia), but we need to take care of business at home, especially after letting two close games against better teams slip away from us. I'll be disappointed if we lose tonight.

Not many week night games since most schools have finals this week.

Very nice win for us. Green Bay was #12 in the mid major poll and had #31 RPI.

DaShonte Riley outplayed Alec Brown (though the box score may not show it), going for 11 points 8 boards and 3 blocks.

My guess is that we win all the home games and lose all the road games this week

very possible.

pretty good win for emu tonight vs green bay. will be interesting to see how bg plays after blowing the upset at Xavier. Toledo gets a 7-3 sam Houston team at home. western will try to regroup after a poor outing against n'western and see if they can control tempo against a run and gun Missouri team that hasn't lost yet but hasn't been dominant. niu has been playing pretty well but has a big task at undefeated umass. buffalo in a rivalry game. latter part of the month will have a lot of big games.

NIU @ UMass is currently on NBC Sports Network. I highly recommend that you avoid turning the game on. You'll thank me later.

24-12 at the under 8:00 timeout, but it's not as close as it sounds.

Congrats Rockets. I'm hoping to make it downtown to watch you guys ply Cleveland State next week. Still think you guys will be undefeated heading into Kansas.

Also, Ohio beats Alabama A&M 72-47 in front of a small crowd in Athens. As you probably guessed, no students and a low major buy game equaled a less than electric atmosphere. Hope that changes for UMass.

Edited for typos.

Our game against Cleveland State next Saturday is in Toledo. Didn't want you heading into downtown Cleveland for no good reason. If the weather is good come west to Toledo for the game--we'll sell you a ticket!

So when does Montgomery need to have a season at least as good as Patton's typical 9-win season before the AD gets itchy? Would another single-digit win season send up the red flags?

FINAL: UMass 80 - NIU 54

We ran away with it at the end when our freshman players came in and started hitting all their shots.

I don't know. Not sure what good firing him would do(though, he may just walk away at some point), the job is a dead end and nobody outside of a grade school coach will take the job if it is available. I think we should just stick with it and hope for the best.
