Marcus Smart was sick......
"Marcus Smart doesn't need anyone to make excuses for him, but the fact is he was obviously sick during Oklahoma State's loss to Memphis. I mean, the guy was puking into a bucket behind the bench. No wonder he was off his game."

He shouldn't have worried himself sick like that. It's just a game.

The most important sentence in that article

Quote:After 36 years in the zebra business, Hightower, 61, will retire at the end of this month.

Finally

RE: Marcus Smart was sick......
OSU has two other great players who are picked to be in this years NBA draft....Nash and Brown. It is not a one person....one dimension team.

They are 2 slots down from their best ranking before they lost to the Tigers.... Big 12 bias.

I thought I read somewhere that he felt like puking when he ran to the bucket but actually never did throw up? Besides, Smart and Travis Ford both said that there were no excuses and that memphis executed a good game plan against the ENTIRE team

Sounds like a good excuse to me, of course funny how when our guys were sick with that bug going around, they didn't use that as an excuse. If he's well enough to be on the floor, it SHOULD be a non-issue. Wish I had a dollar for every time I puked before/during an important swim meet. wuzz.

I saw someone puke once while we were scuba diving. It looks pretty weird, and the fish love it.

RE: Marcus Smart was sick......
The people saying this are just trying to find a way to discredit our win. He was playing fine, the only difference is he didn't get hot and go off from three point range. He threw up 1 time. He scored 17 against Butler and 13 against South Carolina. People are figuring him out and the competition is getting better. There are 0 excuses. They are now back in the top 7 and we are still 15/16. Pathetic from the voters. They also have to meet their agenda's. I was very impressed last week when we beat these guys and some people dropped us 5-8 spots in their polls after beating the #5 team.

All of their fans and some of these media guys are making it seem like Smart was throwing up then entire game and could barely stay on the court. That is incorrect. He may have thrown up pre game or at halftime without anyone seeing but during the game it was only once and he played fine when he didn't get stopped.

Being sick is no excuse to launch horrible shots or drive into 2-3 people and it result in a turnover. Just stupid excuses from a bunch of cry babies.
