I don't know the circumstances under which you were banned, but if it was for saying you hope a defector loses a game then by all means ban me.
I just love the fact that after all the talk of our horrible OOC schedule and the loss to Ohio by ECU fans that now they get the opportunity to lose to that same" horrible" Ohio team we lost too.
#Go Ohio
I know you are jealous that Marshall will never go to a better conference unless it changes its recruiting ways. Therefore I will not hold your anger against you. Sometimes jealousy can make people not see straight. It happens. I hope someday you can learn to just be happy with yourself and not view the "haves" as the enemy. Maybe someday you will be a "have," I doubt it, but hey we have a black president, we've landed on the moon, Rice won a football championship again....anything is possible! Until then enjoy going to games with less than 25K people in the stands and when you read all the headlines about another MU player getting arrested...look at the glass half full...think of all the MU players that didn't get arrested! The sun will come up tomorrow!
Recruiting - We follow the rules set forth by the conference we are in. If we join another conference we will adhere to the rules of that conference.
ECU with the "haves" - That is funniest thing in your post. If you are unaware, Houston, UCF, Memphis, and SMU got a taste of what the "haves" life is like this year, but will lose it once ECU, Tulane and Tulsa arrive. The aac will be competing every year to get their champ in the access bowl the true "haves" have allowed us to play in so we don't riot. Also, if you didn't notice C-USA and the aac had to get with the other "have nots" and create new bowls just to have somewhere to send their schools. You should really accept that you are NOT a "have" or you will be really disappointed when you find that your league champion, probably UCF or Houston, is playing in the BoB bowl or the BBVA compass bowl.
Attendance - Yes, we only averaged 25k this season, I have posted my opinion on that several times and won't get into it again. It takes too long. I don't ever see us average 40k+ but I do see us above 30k as early as next year if the cards fall as I think they will. Back to back losses to Maryland and Rice to finish the year won't encourage anyone to be excited about next year, especially with new seating and parking assignments being set for people who have had the same spots for years. A win over Maryland and the season starts with high attendance for us and as long as we win it will continue to rise as the season progresses, but a loss to Maryland and the attendance starting point will be lowered by several thousand and it will be a uphill battle to win back some of the people that bought back in after the ECU win.
Arrests - we have had our fair share of off the field activity just about every year, but since Doc has been here the player typically is never seen in the Green and White again after an arrest. We don't hold fake votes for the last game of the year to boost our D-Line depth to get someone back on the field for the biggest game of the season. We leave those players at home and play without them in the championship game.
You go and enjoy battling Louisville, Rutgers, and... wait those schools are leaving? Oh well uhhh, I guess have fun with Memphis, SMU, USF, wait are you still in C-USA? This is confusing, I thought you were moving up with the "haves"?
Anyway, I wish you horrible luck in the BoB bowl and hope Tettleton and Blankenship kick the **** out of you literally and figuratively just like they have done us the last 3 years. Go Bobcats!!!
Aww you're still angry. I see my well wishes and good vibes I sent your way haven't helped. I will amp up the sending of both! Angry and jealous (thou shalt not covet and what not) is no way to live. I know it is hard to accept that one school is moving on to a better situation when your's is relegated to being the little little brother for, well probably forever. It is just something you are going to have to accept though.
Oh you have a plan to put more butts in seats at the Joan?! I was unaware. That changes everything! Just like the imaginary, what should have been numbers Cato "should" have gotten change his stats at the end of the year! Also...UNICORNS!!! The fact is Marshall can't average more than 25K people at a game. Hey that is great for what you are. You are finally going to be at the top of CUSA in attendance (well top 2 anyways...so I guess not much of a change)! Gold stars and cookies with white and green icing all around!
Ah recruiting. Hey recruit, you have a severely checkered past? Your academics are questionable? No other school will give you that dream scholly? Don't worry, Marshall has a home for you! Come on down! We will even try and question coaches and programs that follow their own rules (e.g. 6 week suspension...that even turn in to 7 week suspensions) and punish kids (rightfully so) who do wrong in order to try and make us not look as bad! We are throwing a metric ass ton of lipstick on our pig! Kelly green lipstick of course!... You are right you follow the rules...and the day after the national signing day will continue to be your real signing day!
I know you are a sad panda...an angry sad panda. Someday you will look back on this period of your life and damn your anger and the ulcers it caused you. I really hope that day is sooner than later, for your sake. It just isn't healthy, but just in case you really should go over to healthcare.gov and sign up to help with those future medical costs. I know the wait might be long, but let's be honest you have nothing else to do.
Losing to your bitter rival three times in a row must be tough. I kind of understand as ECU has lost quite a few in a row to both UNC and NCSU...granted those aren't MAC schools, but I kind of get where you are coming from. You can't let it get the best of you. Regardless of the outcome of the game I can promise, with 100% certainty that Blankenship will not kick the feces out of me, even if you wish he would (you meany pants). Enjoy battling it out with ODU, UNCC, FIU, etc until they too leave you, because they all are more attractive (for the most part) to any league than the program in Huntington. The good news is you can expect to have new people on you schedule every few years! Take that P5 conference teams that wont schedule you because of your recruiting practices! Tallest midget!
During this wonderful time of the year I wish you a happy holiday! I gather from your posts that you love your Festivus...with all of your airing of grievances and what not. I wish you a successful raising of the metal pole and joyus victories over uncle Alfred during the feats of strength! He and his lazy eye have nothing on you! Happy Festivus/Chanukuh/Kwanzaa/Christmas/etc.!
*Disclaimer - this is solely directed at the OP. Other, non-ridiculous fans it has been a good run and I wish you all the best.
I won't lie, I only read the first couple lines and became bored, sorry.
I did skim the rest of it and caught a few key words; anger, jealous, bitter, sad, etc. I can only assume that these are the feelings you've had in the aftermath of the stomping ECU took a couple weeks back. There were also several animals listed real and imaginary. This is concerning me about your mental stability. I don't have his number but you probably should talk to someone. SJ can help you find your smile again. He can turn everything about ECU into sunshine and rainbows. Please contact him immediately.
P.S. Please stay away from any animals until you talk to him.
Your friend,
