I don't like to rain on anyone's parade but schools like Toledo and NIU killed themselves with bad losses at the end.

They had their fate in their own hands vs Akron and BG.

EVERY game counts in the MAC for teams wanting to go bowling.

I live in St Pete....come on down Ohio fans!

Weather will be perfect and St Pete/Tampa offer a ton to do. Time of bowl game royally sucks but at least you'll have your night free. Downtown ST Pete has their Christmas stuff up and they have a ton of awesome bars, restaurants, museums, etc to check out.

I'd recommend checking out the Chihuly collection on Beach Drive too.

Yep. Toledo has no one to blame but themselves. The players weren't ready to play @ Akron, and the coaches weren't prepared & didn't prepare the players. If anyone at UT is upset that they didn't make a bowl, they just need to look in a mirror to find out why.

They'll definitely be taking a loss on that. But I love the idea of picking up from different areas in Ohio. IIRC, they did the same thing for the New Orleans Bowl a couple years ago. Makes it a lot easier for students to go since they don't have to drive to Athens to leave.

yes, they did a similar thing for the NO Bowl. I don't remember the details, but know it was a cheap trip for the kids.
