Anyone know if the campus store will have the CUSA Championship gear later this week? I'll be on campus Friday for the early women's hoops game and I'd like to pick up some shirts as Xmas presents. Also, are there kids sizes in stock? The online sites only have adult sizes.

Has anyone tried the Academy of of 59 close to campus. They usually carry Rice stuff.

Very small selection ... esp compared to the UH stuff. And they are out of sizes for "larger" Owls ( which includes me ).

This operation appears to be independent of the campus store in the RMC. I have no idea is there is a place to purchase these items in person.

I sent a note yesterday to the book store asking if these shirts would be available at the Tudor shop for Thursday morning's basketball game...so far no answer.

Something else, for those picking up Liberty Bowl tickets during the basketball game and wondering if the CUSA Championship Shirts will be available in the Tudor shop. Got this reply back from the Bookstore:

No. Currently the shirts are available only online and in the main campus store.

I know quite a few folks are going by Rice to pick up their Liberty Bowl Tickets..seems like the Ticket Office could work with the Bookstore to have some shirts available for sale.

Especially because the reason we are playing the day games is we have a ton of school children there at Tudor both on Thursday (men vs. Northwood) and Friday (women vs. UH). But as long as they are at the campus store, that will work for me. I'll be there Friday to buy my Xmas gifts.

Marketing is not Rice's strong suit.

How many would have bought a CUSA Championship Shirt if it had been "an extra item" on the Liberty Bowl ticket form?

And if there are 4K kids Thursday morning will the Tudor shop even be open?

These seem like simple questions to possible marketing scenarios.
